Øvrebotten is a nurse and ambulance worker, with a master’s degree in prehospital emergency medicine from UiS and further education in college pedagogy. Has experience with project development and project management. She works in a shared position as an assistant professor at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, and as a PhD candidate in Helse Førde with the project: The perioperative pain trajectory: a qualitative exploration of stakeholders’ experiences and perspectives as feasibility basis for a predictive patient-reported outcome measures (PROM) system aiming to prevent chronic postsurgical pain (MAPIP-FEAS), knytt til Helse Vest-prosjektet «Personalized and data-driven specialty care. Health service research based on patient data in routine practice» .
